Formal terms and common names

Flow forming machine (also commonly called wheel spinning machine, aluminum spinning machine, rim rolling machine, hot spinning machine in India)

A CNC machine that forms the rim section of a cast or forged aluminum wheel preform over a rotating mandrel. Rollers, typically in a three-roller arrangement, reduce and elongate the wall under controlled heat and force, producing a lighter rim with consistent wall thickness. Alloy wheel workholding (also commonly called alloy wheel chuck, wheel clamping chuck, CNC turning chuck for wheels, CNC fixture for alloy wheels, alloy wheel machining fixture, work holder in India)

Dedicated chucks and fixtures that locate and clamp an alloy wheel on a CNC lathe or machining center for turning, drilling and hole machining.
